Galbani Maryland Italian Festival Finds New Home for 2025
Growing event, presented by Jarrettsville Furniture and hosted by the Society of Italian American Businessmen, set to take place September 26-28, 2025, in its third year
Aberdeen, Md. (March 5, 2025) – The Society of Italian American Businessmen (SIAB) announced today that the Galbani Maryland Italian Festival will return for its third year from September 26-28, 2025, at a new location--the expansive parking lot of Ripken Stadium, in Aberdeen, Maryland. Sponsored by Galbani Cheese and presented by Jarrettsville Furniture, the three-day, family-friendly event will offer a variety of outdoor attractions, games, live entertainment, food and more.
“It’s a whole new ballgame for the Maryland Italian Festival as we head into our third year!” said Joseph Papa, President of SIAB and co-chair of the 2025 festival. “This move reflects the festival's growth and success with a new venue that provides more space for attendees, vendors, and entertainment, while also increasing accessibility for festival-goers coming from all over the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.”
Having attracted attendees from over 15 states in 2024 and over 40,000 guests in its first two years, the festival’s relocation will further solidify its place as a regional destination event, with easy access from I-95 and proximity to hotels. The new location provides additional parking, more accessibility for attendees, additional options to manage inclement weather, and flexibility in event planning.
“The Italian Festival celebrates the heritage of the Italian-American community here in Harford County. The Festival brings thousands of visitors from both within and outside of Harford County,” said Jessica Boyle-Tsottles of the Harford County Council. “The Festival is a draw that not only enables our citizens to celebrate Italian-American heritage, but also is a great economic development driver for our local economy.”
“SIAB’s Italian Festival is a Harford County gem. Aside from the obvious, direct economic benefit derived from 20,000 or so fun-loving festival patrons, the festival unites the entire community in an exciting and enjoyable celebration of Italy’s best food, music, and wine,” said Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly. “This ‘must attend’ event is a win for the entire family. Godere, ciao!”
The event celebrating Italian culture will attract a wide range of people with outdoor attractions and carnival games, along with authentic beer/wine/liquor piazzas, cooking classes, wine demonstrations, and several local Italian vendors. The event will include food and beverage vendors, the return of the VIP villas, and a showcase of national and regional entertainment.
This year’s festival will once again feature the annual two-day Bocce Tournament. On day 1, participants can root for teams while competing for cash prizes. Day 2 features the Maryland Special Olympic athletes competing in a regional qualifying tournament. The proceeds from both the tournament and the festival contribute to SIAB’s goal of supporting charities with an emphasis on education, family and child services, mental health resources, and addiction help.
The third annual Galbani Maryland Italian Festival presented by Jarrettsville Furniture and hosted by the Society of Italian American Businessmen is made possible with the support of its sponsors, including media partners CBS Baltimore and 100.7 The Bay. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available for this year’s festival. To learn more about those opportunities, visit www.marylanditalianfestival.com.
“We are so thrilled to welcome back our sponsors, whose continued support has played a key role in helping us expand the festival's reach across the region,” said Larry Noto, co-chair of the festival and SIAB member. “And as we move to this new location, we’d be remiss if we didn’t share how incredibly grateful we are to the Harford County Equestrian Center for their support during our first two years.”
More updates regarding entertainment, programming, and ticket sales will be shared in the coming months. For the latest information and to sign up for the festival’s newsletter, visit www.marylanditalianfestival.com.
ABOUT THE SOCIETY OF ITALIAN AMERICAN BUSINESSMEN
The Society of Italian American Businessmen (SIAB) believes that “è nel dare, che riceviamo” (“it’s in giving, that we receive.”) The organization’s humble beginnings in 2013 fostered a movement among members to be a part of something bigger than themselves. This desire has become a resounding reason why people have been drawn to this organization. SIAB focuses on giving Maryland 501(c)3 charities in education, family and child services, mental health and addiction. The organization’s major fundraising events include the annual Spring Gala, Golf Outing and The Galbani Maryland Italian Festival, having its second launch in 2024. SIAB’s fundraising events to date have resulted in charitable giving to over 129 area 501(c)3 nonprofits and 67 educational scholarships — totaling over $1,000,000 in impact to the community.
