About

There Goes My Hero and the Kiddie Academy have partnered to host a contact-less drive-up bone marrow registry drive in honor of Kristy Cooper, a local Harford County resident. In October, Kristy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and will likely need a bone marrow transplant.

Kristy and husband Joe have three children, Nathan, Lucas, and Molly, and are expecting their first grandchild in April! For the past ten years, Kristy has been a School Counselor at Southampton Middle School and has become extremely involved within the Harford community through her children’s sports teams, church, and youth ministry.

It only takes five minutes to register, and you could save a life. Each year, thousands of patients with blood cancers and blood disorders will need a bone marrow transplant to survive. With a simple cheek swab, you’ll be a registered bone marrow donor and if you match with a patient in need, you may be asked to donate.

If you are interested in joining the bone marrow registry,
RSVP to stephanie.cupp@theregoesmyhero.org
by November 21st. If you have any questions, please contact us or visit www.theregoesmyhero.org to learn more.

**Staff members and volunteers will be following all COVID safety measures and social distancing regulations.
