Conowingo Dam is one of the largest hydroelectric plants in the nation. The dam forms a freshwater lake 14 miles long which is a year round angler's dream. Be sure to catch the "fish lift" in the Spring. Large numbers of gulls and Bald Eagles are typically present from mid-October through mid-March.
