Executive Director Recruitment

Visit Harford, the non-profit destination marketing organization for Harford County, Maryland, is conducting a search for an Executive Director. Following the announced retirement of their current Director, Visit Harford is looking for a candidate to lead the organization in promoting Harford County.  The role of Executive Director (ED) is the senior management position leading tourism activities for Harford County through the office of Visit Harford, the 501(c)6 destination marketing organization for Harford County. The goal of the ED involves promoting tourism to impact the economic development of Harford County with primary accountability for the strategic direction, annual accomplishments and fiscal integrity of the organization.
The ED reports to the Board of Directors for activities relating to Visit Harford to determine strategy, marketing, and budget. The ED will facilitate an active role with tourism-related organizations in the state and within the county inclusive but not limited to hotels, restaurants, other tourism boards, government agencies and attractions. The Executive Director will support the Executive Committee of the Board and the Board of Directors of Visit Harford relating to strategy, progress, plans and goals.
