About
The Harford County Agricultural Center brings the county’s agricultural resources together under one roof. Opened in 2018 under the administration of County Executive Barry Glassman, the center is home to Harford County Farm Bureau, Maryland Department of Agriculture Forest Pest Management, Harford Soil Conservation, University of Maryland Extension, and Harford County Agricultural Services. The building was a former furniture store, purchased and repurposed by the county to create this center for the benefit of the ag community and the community at large. Harford County’s vision to consolidate and promote agriculture has been realized through the development of the Harford County Agricultural Center and new addition of The Grove. Harford County intends to use the pole barn structure as an agri-business incubator where local vendors – farmers, food processors, artists, and others – can rent a space to sell their goods. The Grove is an outlet for local area farmers, artists and food processors to sell their products directly to consumers and to actively promote agriculture commerce and sustainability in Harford County.
