While exploring Havre de Grace’s arts district, make a stop into the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum National Park Service Network to Freedom Program, “Underground Railroad: Other Voices of Freedom” exhibit. This incredible exhibit highlights the lesser-known heroes of the Underground Railroad that led people to freedom along the Susquehanna River. Check out the Hosanna School Museum to dive even deeper into the underground railroad in northern Harford County. With two events this month including a bus tour to the underground railroad sites located in northern Harford County and meeting Harriet Tubman presented by master story-teller Janice Curtis Greene. After exploring and learning about the history of the Underground Railroad, be sure to stop by to see the Hays-Heighe House, a National Park Service Network to Freedom site.
